Jen Pfleghaar, DO, ABOIM (“Dr. Jen”) is an osteopathic physician who publicly describes herself as double board-certified in Emergency Medicine and Integrative Medicine. Her official biographies state that she earned her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed Emergency Medicine residency at St. Vincent’s Mercy Hospital/St. Vincent’s Mercy Medical Center, spent a year as a Life Flight physician, and completed the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine fellowship.
Her current public-facing work is Healthy by Dr. Jen, where she provides virtual integrative care and education focused on thyroid disease/Hashimoto’s, perimenopause, hormone balance, gut health, mold illness/CIRS, Lyme disease, peptides, supplements, autoimmune and “invisible” illnesses, and lifestyle medicine. Her services page states that she is currently licensed in Ohio, Michigan, Tennessee, and Texas and can only accept patients who reside in those states.
Earlier public materials also connect her to PflegMed in Perrysburg, Ohio, a fee-for-service/cash-based integrative medicine practice, and to Healthology by Dr. Jen, a supplement/product business. Her Healthy by Dr. Jen site includes medical-disclaimer language that information and products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease and are not a substitute for a one-on-one relationship with a qualified health professional.
She co-authored Eat. Sleep. Move. Breathe.: The Beginner’s Guide to Living a Healthy Lifestyle and authored The Perimenopause Reset: 28 Days to Energize Your Body, Shed Weight, and Find Peace with God. She also hosts The Integrative Health Podcast with Dr. Jen, appears as a guest on women’s health/autoimmune podcasts, and is listed as serving on the boards of the Invisible Disabilities Association and the American Board of Integrative Medicine (ABOIM), plus as a member of the American Osteopathic Association’s Bureau of Osteopathic Research and Public Health.
