Berberine

Berberine is a plant-derived alkaloid studied for metabolic, inflammatory, microbiome, and anticancer mechanisms. Its strongest cancer-related human evidence is prevention-oriented, especially colorectal adenoma recurrence, while cancer-treatment claims remain mostly preclinical and should be handled cautiously. Connection to Cancer Berberine is a bitter yellow plant alkaloid found in herbs such as barberry, goldenseal, Oregon grape, and Coptis.
